Japanese Language Class (Online)

The Tennessee Language Center will host a 9-week Beginning Japanese class online for youth ages 11-15. The class will meet on Tuesday from 4-5:35 p.m. on Zoom. Cost is $285 for the nine classes.

The learners in this class will be introduced to a very basic repertoire of words and simple phrases related to personal details and real-life situations. Practice will focus on building conversational skills within the topics that are relevant to teenagers’ daily lives such as school, family, hobbies, and shopping. The instructor will also guide learners in cultural exploration with activities designed help deepen the understanding of Japanese culture and compare and contrast it to their own.
